Dig This Volleyball is a community committed to developing and promoting the sport of volleyball from beginners to advanced player.

Open Play - Indoor

September 2017 - June 2018

Open Play for beginners, intermediate and advanced Players.

IMPORTANT - Skill Level Required for our open play. Know how to rotate on the court, serve, pass, set, spike and block. Know how to hold your position on the court during defense and offense. This is meant for players that have experience playing. Rules will be enforced to protect all players from safety and fun. Recreational players and beginners can practice on the side or come watch for FREE. We also have individual coaching, please ask!

Our goal is to provide a friendly environment where we can support each other in development of skills and sportsmanship.

Co-Organizer, Event Host

One thing May loves about volleyball is that this is a team sport. You can also play this game without having to be awesome in all the skills, everyone has a specialty! She started Dig This Volleyball because of her passion for the sport. She loves supporting new players and enjoys competitive games when she’s not playing mom to her 3 kids.

Co-Organizer, Event Host

Kathy has been an organizer of open play and tournaments for volleyball and basketball for the last few years. She also actively volunteers for New Yorkers Sports Association, a well reported local sports organization in the Chinese community. Since introduced to volleyball at the age of 13 years old, her commitment to advancing in the sport has never wavered.

Amanda been playing volleyball since the age of 10. She earned a starting position and captain position throughout middle school and high school. Not only have she played in middle school and high school she worked hard to earn a starting position as a Libero/Setter/Defensive Specialist for John Jay College of Criminal Justice Women's Volleyball team for 3 years.

Reese was born, raised, and California-trained in volleyball. She is currently in her 2nd year of training under a Division 1 college coach on her club team. She is a multi-specialist in both Outside/Opposite and Setter. She has competed at the 2015 USAV Girls' Junior National Championships.

Marce has been playing volleyball since the age of 8. Volleyball runs through her family and has been passed down to her. She earned a starting and captain position throughout middle school and high school. She been coaching for 3 years at CYO volleyball team for St. Andrew Avellino.

Assistant women’s volleyball coach for Queensborough Community College. Assistant women’s volleyball coach of the Loyola University of New Orleans from 2006-2008. Tony has been involved with volleyball as a player and a coach for the past 20 years. His career began at 14 years of age while at Hippocrates High School in Kos, Greece.
